Parallel Christs

I titled this note parallel Christs because in Matthew 24:24, many of them shall rise in the last days. Already, we see them on TVs and hear of them on radio stations.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. (Matthew 24:24)

Who or what is parallel Christ? These are persons that have power to do signs and wonders so to glorify someone. These are what we call men of God, or prophets as the title is commonly used today. It is not that these parallel Christs are bad but that their motives are wrong in the first place. They do their signs and wonders

  1. Openly/publicly
  2. For show/fame
  3. And mislead people (deceive the elect)

These appear or will appear just before the coming of the Son of God. Christ himself said we his disciples would receive power to do greater signs and wonders in his name. These parallel Christs, who may have gotten their power from Christ, do not do it to show his name; they do it to glorify themselves.

So what is it about parallel Christs? It is not that these persons are diabolical; they just have deviated from the way of Christ who lived to glorify the Father. Instead of using the authority that they’ve received to glorify God in heaven, they use it for their own glorification. We naming them as bad persons doesn’t solve the problem either.

Either way, there are still sick persons and/or poor ones living amongst us, who need a greater anointing (power of the Holy Ghost) to lift them up from their situation. What I am saying is, we still need these parallel Christs. We Christians have to wise up and see these persons as sources of healing, instead of condemning them to an all-time crucifixion.

I pray your attitude changes next time you see or hear of these parallel Christs. They are not your enemies but helpers, and are there to ‘help’ kingdom citizens. God bless you.
