Will, Power and Knowledge

Knowledge alone is not enough to drive progress. It is not enough knowing something when you cannot perform it, what you need is the will to do.

Therefore when Paul spoke, he said that it is God who works in us both to will and to do his good pleasure. You may have the knowledge to do good works but if you lack the will to do it, you are as one who does not know it even. Sometimes you may have the will but the power to do it is lacking.

In any case, man is helpless when he relies on his own strength. It is God – or the Devil for some people – who enables us to do everything that is possible within our human capabilities. Being Christian, I recognize and acknowledge these differences very much.
